Tim Davis
Partner/Licensed Residential General Contractor for over 30 years/Glass Fiber Reinforced Concrete Expert
Tim is a father of five and a recent retiree. Although he worked at AT&T for thirty years, he has always had a passion for building. In 1994, Tim and his partner decided to start a company and began framing houses in southwest Michigan for a Waco Dunes developer. He began building spec houses as well. After many years and a quickly expanding family, Tim put his construction dreams on pause for a few years after the Davis’ moved back to the Mid-Michigan area.
Yet, Tim’s passion for building was not diminished and he continued to build part-time. In 2019, he decided to officially get back into the game after he retired from AT&T. Now, with help from his family, Tim focuses on building a family-operated business that is ready to serve you.
Nate Davis
Partner/Project Manager/ Skilled Carpenter/ Certified Welder
Nathan is not only the oldest son in the Davis brood, but he is also Tim’s business partner. After graduating from high school, Nathan attended college for welding and pursued a career. Obtaining various certifications, he worked as a welder for a local company for many years. Nathan loves to learn and when he realized he had met his potential at his company, he decided it was time to move on. Since he enjoyed the building process with his father over the years, Nate was quick to suggest starting a construction company and partnering with his dad. Nate is a hard worker, a skilled builder, and an awesome father of three.
Nick Davis
Custom Cabinetry/Finish Carpenter/Skilled Labor
Meet Nick, DxD’s finish guy. Nick specializes in cabinets, beam wraps, doors, and trim. He especially enjoys designing, building, and installing cabinetry such as special-sized vanities & towel towers, live edge shelving, custom wine cabinets…etc.
Andrew Davis
Construction Apprentice
The youngest of five, Andrew is a quick learner. Andrew has been part of the crew since he was thirteen. Back then he helped in the concrete shop. Andrew, however, is an outside guy and decided to move into framing. Although he is still an apprentice, he is eager to learn. We expect to see great progress as he continues gaining skills in the construction trade.
Chuck Artibee
Carpenter/Skilled Labor
Starting as a novice, Chuck quickly picked up the carpenter trade over the past three years. He has developed into a skilled carpenter and framer, who, by the way, keeps a very tidy job site! Chuck is currently focusing on leadership skills and enjoys mentoring newbies. He too is eager to learn and has also become proficient in some finish work, like tile and flooring.
James Kirtley
Concrete Mixologist/Drywaller
James wears a few DxD hats. He has become our drywaller for some of the smaller renovations. He also is Tim’s right-hand man in the concrete shop. From forming to installing, James has been crucial in the concrete process. He even did a fabulous job installing the accent tile for our latest concrete shower project…you can check it out here!
Andrew Owens
Construction Apprentice
Andrew recently joined our crew. He currently attends the Greater Michigan Construction Academy and looks forward to applying what he has been studying. Welcome aboard Andrew!
Michelle Davis
Designer/ Marketing & Web Specialist/Human Resources
Tim and Michelle have been married for over thirty years. Now that her kids have grown, she has time to help build the family business.
Michelle’s favorite job is helping customers design/redesign their homes. She is a budget-conscious, problem solver who also enjoys bringing new life to an outdated house. Whenever she walks into a house, her mind starts designing to help create an efficient and modern look.
Web design is another passion of Michelle’s. Although she does not utilize her computer science degree as a career, she enjoys connecting with her past life (pre-motherhood) by creating websites and hopes to broaden her web horizons in her free time.
